Summary of Position

The Director of Marketing will serve as a visionary leader responsible for setting and executing the overarching marketing and communications strategy of the Catholic Pro-Life Community. This role will lead brand development, multi-channel campaigns, digital advertising, and all internal and external communications to advance CPLC’s mission, expand its reach, and increase donor engagement.

This individual should be an experienced, data-driven marketing strategist, creative thinker, and strong project manager with a proven track record of successful campaign leadership across various platforms. The Director will work closely with executive leadership and department heads to ensure that the CPLC message is clear, consistent, and compelling across all touchpoints.

Responsibilities include:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and lead CPLC’s annual marketing and communications strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Advise Executive Director and board on marketing investments, audience growth, and brand evolution.
  • Establish performance metrics and evaluate campaign success through analytics, reporting, and ROI.
    Campaign Oversight & Content Strategy
  • Oversee development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns for key events (e.g., Pro-Life Dinner, Christ Child Market, NTX March for Life, etc.), donor appeals, ministry outreach, and awareness efforts.
  • Ensure all content across print, email, digital, video, and radio aligns with brand standards and mission tone.

Digital Marketing & Advertising

  • Lead strategy for paid digital advertising, including Google Ads, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), and email marketing automation platforms.
  • Manage all media buying (radio, print, billboard, digital) with an emphasis on cost-efficiency and audience targeting.
  • Oversee SEO, website optimization, and digital ad performance with data-driven insight.
    Team Leadership & Operations
  • Supervise and mentor the marketing team, providing creative direction, professional development, and process clarity.
  • Build internal systems to streamline workflows, improve project tracking, and increase creative output without burnout.
  • Collaborate with ministries to align messaging with CPLC goals and audience needs.

Technical Proficiency & Production Management

  • Provide high-level guidance and, as needed, hands-on support in:
    Graphic design workflows (Adobe Creative Suite)
    Website management and UX improvement
    Audio/visual production for radio, livestreams, podcasts, and video campaigns
    Use of marketing and CRM platforms (e.g., Constant Contact, Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager)
    Budget & Vendor Management

Build and manage the annual marketing and communications budget.

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities, recommend high-ROI marketing investments, and manage relationships with outside contractors, printers, ad buyers, and agencies.
  •  Manage Budgets and Reports.
  • Develop and manage budgets for marketing and communications initiatives. Provide updates and reports to the Executive Director and Board as needed.
  • Build and Nurture Relationships. Serve as a visible and trusted representative of CPLC to community partners, diocesan leaders, and media outlets.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or related field (preferred)
  • Minimum 7–10 years of progressive experience in marketing, including 3+ years in a leadership role, preferably in a nonprofit setting
  • Demonstrated success in developing and scaling integrated marketing campaigns
  • Experience with digital advertising platforms, media buying, and analytics reporting
  • Strong understanding of Catholic values and the pro-life mission
  • Proven leadership in managing a team and fostering a collaborative, mission-aligned culture
  • Technical fluency in tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, WordPress or equivalent CMS, and CRM/email platforms
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
