Emergency Second Collection for Disaster Relief

Venezuela Earthquake Relief

Prompted by the devastating impact of the two earthquakes that hit Venezuela, at the request of Bishop Burns, the Diocese of Dallas will be taking a special collection to support the Church and humanitarian needs. The USCCB has directed that diocesan collections be directed to Catholic Relief Services (CRS).

Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is working through Caritas Venezuela and the local Church to respond. On the weekend of July 18-19, every parish in the Diocese of Dallas will take up a special second collection for Venezuela Disaster Relief. Funds collected will be used as quickly as possible to provide emergency shelter, food, and other humanitarian aid to those most affected by this disaster.

Bishop Burns encourages all Catholics to respond generously to this appeal and stand in solidarity with the people of Venezuela during this time of great need.

To support relief efforts, please contribute during the special collection on July 18-19 or make a donation through the link below.
