Emergency Second Collection for Disaster Relief
The recent flash floods in the Texas Hill Country have caused widespread devastation, leaving many families in urgent need of support and hope.
As Catholics, we are called to pray for those who have lost their lives and to help comfort grieving families and communities. We also pray for those who have lost their homes and businesses, that they may find peace and comfort in God’s enduring love for us, even amidst these most trying circumstances. And we pray for the emergency responders and those who have begun the work of providing for the needs of the impacted communities in the recovery efforts, that they may be kept from harm as they seek to bring relief, comfort, and healing.
Bishop Burns has asked the people of the Diocese of Dallas to help support the needs of our sisters and brothers affected by these devastating floods through an emergency second collection taken the weekend of July 19 and 20. Funds will be directed to Catholic Charities in the Archdiocese of San Antonio to help survivors with their immediate and long-term needs. With your gift these local organizations will provide food, shelter, aid, and hope. Together, we can support our sisters and brothers as they begin to rebuild and restore hope.
Please support the Emergency Second Collection for Disaster Relief efforts. Gifts can be directed to:
