All Souls Remembrance

All Souls Day holds a special place in the heart of our Catholic faith. It is a time when we, as a community, come together to honor the memory of our departed loved ones and to lift them up in prayer.

We are called to pray for their eternal rest, trusting in God's infinite mercy and love. Our prayers, Masses, and acts of charity on their behalf are powerful expressions of our hope and our belief in the communion of saints.

  • Prayer

We entrust our loved ones to God's mercy and pray for their eternal rest.

  • The Mass

The Eucharist is the Church's greatest prayer for the faithful departed.

  • Acts of charity

Works of mercy offered on their behalf witness to our hope in the resurrection.

Honoring the Departed

Allow us the privilege of remembering your departed family members, friends, and loved ones. Share their names, and we will hold them in prayer.

May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Remembrance slideshow: Add a photo of your loved one to have them included in our slideshow, which will be shared publicly on social media and/or other diocesan channels. Deadline is Monday, Oct. 26, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.

Ways to remember the faithful departed

November is traditionally the month the Church sets aside to pray for the dead. Here are a few ways to keep your loved ones close this season.

  1. Attend Mass on All Souls Day

Join your parish community on Nov. 2. Find Mass times near you.

  2. Request a Mass intention

Contact your parish office to have a Mass offered for a loved one who has died.

  3. Visit a cemetery

From Nov. 1 through 8, visiting a cemetery and praying for the dead can gain a plenary indulgence for the souls in purgatory, under the usual conditions.

  4. Watch from home

Can't make it in person? Watch our latest livestreams on YouTube.

Pray with us

Prayer for the Dead

In your hands, O Lord,
we humbly entrust our brothers and sisters.
In this life you embraced them with your tender love;
deliver them now from every evil
and bid them eternal rest.

The old order has passed away:
welcome them into paradise,
where there will be no sorrow, no weeping or pain,
but fullness of peace and joy
with your Son and the Holy Spirit
forever and ever.

Amen.

Eternal Rest

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen.
