24 February 2024 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Fight For Your Faith By Attending “Fight For Life” Men’s Conference

All men (including those 15 to 18 with a family member) are invited to the 13th annual North Texas Catholic Men’s Conference on Saturday, Feb. 24 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. This year’s event, hosted by the North Texas Catholic Brothers For Christ ministry, takes place at St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen. All guests can remain for the St. Jude 5 p.m. community Mass in the sanctuary.

Online registration, sponsorship opportunities and program details are available at www.catholicbrothersforchrist.com/ntxcmc. The registration fee, including lunch, is $75 for men. High school and college student tickets are $51. The men’s faith event is free to seminarians and clergy.

“Fight For Life,” the theme for the conference, features actor Jim Caviezel who portrayed Christ in The Passion of the Christ and also Tim Ballard, an undercover U.S. Department of Homeland Security agent in the 2023 movie, Sound Of Freedom. David Bereit, founder of 40 Days for Life and Dallas Auxiliary Bishop Greg Kelly will also speak during the conference about the value of life and power of faith.

In addition to the speaker presentations, the men’s faith gathering will include Eucharistic Adoration, the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Penance, worship and prayer, small group breakouts and lunch. Sponsors at several levels will be invited to a private Sound of Freedom movie event and evening VIP reception with Caviezel on Friday, Feb. 23.

“When you live in holiness, when you really try to stop sinning, you become braver,” said guest speaker Jim Caviezel. “You become more courageous, you become a man of your word. You become a man of conviction that you’re not willing to sell out and you’re really a true knight in shining armor.”

“We want to motivate Catholic men to build the body of Christ by uniting as brothers, striving to become a living example of the Gospel in all areas of their lives, and help facilitate faith-building programs at their local parishes,” said Rick Self, Catholic Brothers For Christ board president.

“While we gather as men from more than 100 parishes in North Texas, we want to build up one another and deepen our prayer life and spirituality,” said Bill Kula, a founding member of the Catholic Brothers For Christ the ministry that serves both the Dallas and Fort Worth Catholic Diocese.
