General Summary of the Position
Responsible for providing secretarial, administrative, and related services to support the Liturgy and the office. This would include confidential, and tasks as directed by the Pastor or Pastoral Associate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:
• Maintain Liturgical Calendar
• Communications with all liturgical coordinators. This includes Ushers, Sentinels, Lectors, EMHC’s, Sacristans, Choir, and Altar servers
• Arrange extra priests for Masses, Confessions and other events, as needed
• Provide Liturgical Scheduling for priests through Outlook, MSP and MIO
• Coordinate the outreach to nursing homes, Hospitals and homebound ministry
• Manage the cleaning of vestments and robes
• Provide plans for extra liturgical supplies based on season (Christmas trees, poinsettias, Lillies, etc.)
• Help arrange the special seasonal decorations
• Coordinate with Highland Springs as needed
• Attend office and leadership meetings
• Help the Pastoral Associate or receptionist in receiving guests and phone calls as needed
• Extra events as needed by Pastor or Pastoral Associate
• Aid with columbarium sales, organization and placing of name plates
Position Requirements Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Microsoft 365
• Typing, processing, computer skills
• Flexibility and adaptability
• Good communication skills
• Active member of a Roman Catholic parish community.
• Bilingual (read/write) (Spanish)
