St. Ann Catholic Parish brings people to Jesus, forms disciples,

St. Ann is looking for a committed disciple who is blessed with the gift of administration, meaning they must be organized, detail-oriented, and a strong multitasker. The ideal candidate is passionate about evangelization and thrives in accompanying parents and equipping them for the task of raising their children in the Faith. This individual must exercise a variety of gifts, including administration, hospitality, teaching, and team-building. We are looking for an individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written). This person should be a self-starter and team player capable of interacting with many different groups. Because this person will work with English-only and Spanish-only speakers, this individual must be bilingual.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Position

●      Baptism Preparation Ministry
○      Develop and maintain baptism formation strategies that align with the overall vision of the Church and the primacy of evangelization.
○      Oversee process for recruiting, training, and ongoing support to English and Spanish baptism prep leaders.
○      Will help formulate a strategy to bring families seeking baptism for their children into the discipleship pathway.
○      Responsible for ongoing evaluation and improvement of baptism classes.

●      Baptism Administration
○      Oversee baptism prep processes (English and Spanish) from the first step outlined on the parish website through ceremonies and final recording of sacramental paperwork.
■      Assist with baptism registrations and information on the phone and for walk in families.
■      Assist with taking cash and online payments for baptisms
■      Helps with the wording the baptism website in both English and Spanish.
■      Oversee process for recruiting, training, and ongoing support to baptism prep leaders.
■      Schedules baptism prep courses for English and Hispanic communities.
○      Work with the Touchpoint database management system to take record of families interested in baptism and how far along they are with the baptism process

●      All other related tasks as designated by the “Bring” Team Leader or Director of Adult Ministry.

Qualifications

●      Christian Commitment:
○      Dynamic, passionate Catholic who has encountered Jesus in a personal way and is living out a life of discipleship and active practice of their faith.
○      Must accept all the teachings of the Catholic Church, especially pertaining to marriage and sexuality.
○      Must be a full participant in St. Ann culture and parish to include worshipping, participating in communal life, serving, and giving.
○      Must be committed to ongoing personal growth as a disciple and ongoing professional development.

●      Skills and Abilities:
○      Bilingual
○      Excellent attention to detail
○      Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines
○      Ability to work on weekends and evenings as needed
○      Comfortable learning new technology & computer applications
○      Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
○      Outstanding oral and written communication skills
○      Welcoming and friendly personality
○      Ideal Team Player: Humble, Hungry and Smart

●      Education and Experience:
○      Competency in the Church’s sacramental theology and teaching on Baptism preferred.

●      Special Requirements:
○      Must uphold and adhere to the guidelines and policies the Diocese of Dallas.
○      Attend mandatory meetings and maintain office hours as agreed upon with the Director.
