Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep is a Catholic, college preparatory school for students from households of low to
moderate income. Cristo Rey Dallas nurtures and challenges young women and men of all faiths to recognize
and realize their full potential as they grow to love God, respect others, and serve their community. Each
student participates in the Corporate Work Study Program which offers a weekly work study experience for all
four years.

The Cristo Rey Dallas Athletic Department is a familia of student-athletes united through commitment,
passion, and leadership. Our mission is to empower self-disciplined athletes to overcome adversity and
find balance among their academic pursuits, family obligations, and extracurricular activities. Our
program is centered around a growth mindset and recognizing that only through hard work and
dedication will we see results. The Athletic Department not only expects student-athletes to express
good sportsmanship during competitions and practices, but also to be model citizens and pursue the
common good in all aspects of life.

Cristo Rey Dallas Athletics seeks a mission-driven professional who will serve as the Head Women’s
Volleyball Coach. Reporting to the Director of Athletics, this experienced professional will be
responsible for providing exemplary leadership for students who will advance the mission of the
school and athletic department, mentor and help develop student-athletes as volleyball players and
women, and be a positive participant in the school culture, and develop positive relationships with
school colleagues and administration.

Qualified Candidates must have availability Monday – Friday after 3:45 pm and occasional weekends
during volleyball season. Candidates will be driven and inspired by the mission to serve and lead while
being open to growth and wanting to be a part of our community. An ideal candidate should have an
appreciation of the school’s mission and a commitment to the values of Catholic education and be
comfortable modeling an active and inspiring faith life for all in the community.

Qualified candidates will be able to perform the following duties at an exemplary level:

 Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the entire Women’s Volleyball program including sub-varsity.
 Train, coach and promote members of the team.
 Serve as a positive role model for students, coaching staff, and the community.
 Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, parents, staff, and school
 Organize and schedule practice sessions and develop competition/performance strategies.
 Schedule games with approval of the Director of Athletics and athletic office.
 Supervise, organize, inspire and provide development to coaching staff at all levels.
 Adhere to expectations listed out in the Cristo Rey Dallas Athletics Coaches Code of Conduct.
 Assume responsibility for inventory, selection and care of equipment.
 Assume responsibility for care of the gym space, equipment and maintenance (if applicable).

 Abide by the rules and regulations established by Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools
 Communicate with school families regularly through official school communications.
 Communicate with the Director of Athletics of any updates and changes.
 Create your Pre-season and practice schedule.
 Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
 Demonstrate high levels of positive motivational skills.
 Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics for the efficient operation of the department.

 Have a minimum of 2-3 years Head Coaching experience at the high school level or above level.
 Experience playing volleyball at the high school level or above preferred.
 Complete annual NFHS Concussions in Sports Course.
 Possess a superior knowledge of volleyball including, but not limited to, knowledge of training and
conditioning techniques and the ability to diagnose player deficiencies and prescribe corrective activities.
 Excellent verbal and written communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
 A Valid Driver’s License as the qualified candidate will be required to drive the teams shuttle to games.
