All Saint Catholic School is a 3 time Blue Ribbon award PreK3 – 8th Grade Catholic School in the Diocese of Dallas. As an innovative and  academic excellent school, All Saints is committed to a strong Catholic Identity, partnership with parents, and academic excellence.  We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary School Librarian for the 24-25 school year to join our team, and support our mission of forming saints who foster a love of reading and lifelong learning.

Job Summary:

The Elementary School Librarian is responsible for managing and maintaining the school library, curating an engaging collection of books and digital resources, and providing instruction and support to students and staff in using the library effectively. The Librarian will collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into the curriculum, organize literacy events, and promote a culture of reading and learning throughout the school community.


Support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school.
Act as a witness to the Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Manage all aspects of the school library, including acquisitions, cataloging, and circulation.
Develop and maintain a diverse and relevant collection of books, periodicals, and digital resources that support the school’s curriculum and the needs and interests of students.
Provide instruction to students in library and information literacy skills, research strategies, and the ethical use of information.
Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources and services into the curriculum and support student learning.
Plan and organize literacy events, book fairs, author visits, and other programs that promote reading and a love of learning.
Promote the library and its resources to students, staff, and parents through newsletters, displays, and other communication channels.
Serve as a resource and support for teachers in selecting and using instructional materials, technology, and resources.
Participate in professional development opportunities and stay current with best practices in library and information science.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent.
Experience working in an elementary school library or similar setting is preferred.
Strong knowledge of library management systems, cataloging standards, and digital resources.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Passion for reading and promoting a culture of literacy and learning.
Ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents, and community members.
